.

I have been in practice since 1997 and am based in Hyde Park, Sandton. Prior to training as a clinical psychologist I worked as a paediatric nurse and my undergraduate degree was in Social Work. I work across the age spectrum: from birth to old age and treat a wide range of conditions.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Conditions specific to children (i.e. separation anxiety, enuresis (bed-wetting) /encopresis, school refusal);
  • Emotional child assessments;
  • Depression and anxiety;
  • Bi-polar disorder;
  • Trauma and bereavement related conditions;
  • Relationship and marital difficulties;
  • Personal growth, self-esteem and life adjustment challenges;
  • Stress related issues (i.e. post-traumatic stress/work stress) and;
  • Child-inclusive post-separation and divorce management.

My Therapeutic Approach and Orientation:

I view our emotional lives as the backdrop to all our other activities and processes: be they mental, behavioural or physical. Integrating the personality (mind with body, conscious with unconscious, intellectual with emotional) is the driving force of the work I do.

I am deeply committed to the services I provide and adhere strictly to the ethical principles and rules and regulations that govern this profession. Please contact me should you require additional information or to set up an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
